Words and Buzzwords of the Year – the German Language Society
A language tends to develop and change over the course of time. But increasingly it is the media who determine the way that German is used on a daily basis. New words come into being every day, often inspired by current events and spreading quickly as a result. The German Language Society celebrates this trend with an annual competition for the WORD of the YEAR.
