"Made in Germany" is world champion in exports

Made in Germany -- a stamp of quality, though not right from the beginning. British politicians had made up this expression 1887 for the "Merchanside mark Act" to warn of German products. Primarily a discriminatory term, which should help to stem the swelling flow of goods from the German empire to all the over world. What the initiators could not guess is, that this term should develop into a brand of highest quality. About 100 years later Germany is the largest export nation of the world. And of course the Germans import also about the same. Another reason for learning German.
