Immersion programs energize the learner, inspire real motivation to learn the language, enable learners to overcome their shyness in speaking German and allow the learners to extend their contact with Germans and the German language. Here are a few tips for succeeding when you study German in an immersion program in Germany.
Intensive study at TREFFPUNKT
Communicate. Observe, listen attentively and respond. Make sure that there is a balance between speaking yourself and listening to others. This is the way to train your verbal and non-verbal skills.
Allow yourself to make mistakes. Let's face it: nobody is perfect, and certainly not when learning a foreign language. Allow yourself to make mistakes without being frustrated when others correct you. After all, making mistakes is the best way to learn.
Be flexible and curious. Be open to new experiences, habits and lifestyles. As a sensitive person you will get to know a new culture faster and learn more about it.
Have a sense of humour. Sometime difficult situations may arise when you're abroad. Just smile, shrug and have a good laugh
Meanwhile, there are a lot of videos about Bamberg on YouTube and elsewhere on the internet. But recently a small film attracted our attention, as it captures the unique atmosphere in a very special way. Be inspired, because Bamberg is beautiful in every season: >>> wiegaertnerfilms.com/films/short-film-bamberg
