Choose a course of 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks and stay for at least 1 week in one town and then travel on to the next.

  • Have to prepare for one of the language examinations in a short period of time.

Exemplary schedule of activities apart from German classes in Bamberg and Berlin

Program sequence in Bamberg:

  • Sunday: Arrival in Bamberg
  • Monday: Welcome meeting, introduction and – after class – orientation walk through Bamberg followed by lunch in a typical Franconian restaurant in the old town.
  • Tuesday: Sightseeing in Bamberg: cathedral, residence castle and rose garden
  • Wednesday: German Movie – including a short introduction. Afterwards it’s sports time for everyone! ball games, gym or swimming in the public pool “Stadionbad”, "Bambados"or in “Hainbad” a section of the river Regnitz
  • Thursday: TREFFPUNKT - pub night - an informal get together of students, friends and teachers in the typical Biergarten "Wilde Rose".
  • Friday: Farewell ceremony and presentation of certificates
  • Saturday: Individual city walk and shopping tour through Bamberg
  • 1-week stay
    Sunday: Transfer Bamberg - Berlin (e.g. ICE train in the morning: Departs at 9:51 am, arrives in Berlin at 14:05) Check out the complete train scheduleFahrplan Deutsche Bahn)
  • 2-week stay or longer
    Saturday/Sunday: Excursion to either Nürnberg, Würzburg or Rothenburg o.T.

Program sequence in Berlin

  • Sunday: Arrival in Berlin
  • Monday: Guided City Tour I “Berlin Classics”: Find out why Berlin is one of the most fascinating cities in the world! Set foot upon some of the most influential and moving places of 20th century history!
  • Tuesday: Guided City Tour II “The Kiez: 21st century modern Berlin”: Berlin has many traditional and modern subcenters. A typical neighborhood is called “Kiez”. In one afternoon you are able to go from traditional 18th century royal Kiez to vibrant multicultural Kiez. From international and hip Bohème to small town European. Evening event: Meet up with other international Berliners for watching and discussing a Berlin-movie
  • Wednesday: “Language Boat Party” – International party on the Spree-river near Eastside Gallery, the longest still existing stretch of Berlin Wall. Enjoy the gorgeous view of the setting sun behind the East Berlin skyline!
  • Thursday: Museum night! A language teacher takes you on an interactive tour of 20th century art: Specifically designed for students of German!
  • Friday: Farewell ceremony and presentation of certificates
  • 1-week stay
    Saturday: Departure or Transfer Berlin - Bamberg (e.g. ICE train in the morning: Departs at 9:52 am, arrives in Bamberg at 14:05). Check out the complete train scheduleFahrplan Deutsche Bahn)
  • 2-week stay or longer
    Saturday/Sunday: Excursions to Potsdam or Oranienburg or Spreewald and “Berlin Beach”: Take advantage of the many post-glacial lakes inside the Berlin city limits (!) or surrounding Berlin, yet easily accessible by public transport!

Please note that there must be added a registration fee of € 52 which will be levied once a year in addition to the course fee, independent of course type or length. Former TREFFPUNKT students are entitled to a reduced registration fee of € 26. If you choose a longer course (up from 6 weeks in each place) you will receive a considerable reduction.

The fees above include: :

  • 20 German lessons of 45 minutes per week in a class of not more than 8 (in July and August 10) students
  • two booking options: single room in a shared apartment or hotel-room with breakfast
  • during all guided cultural or leisure activities you will be accompanied by at least one native speaker of German: Please note that possible admission fees during the culture and leisure program, as well as food and drinks are not included in the course fees!
  • Placement test to find out your CEFR-level A1-C1
  • Course material including the course book
  • Individual course consulting
  • Opportunity of meeting a native speaker of German for a “Duo-language” meeting
  • Free PC's at school with internet access or WIFI access (Bamberg only) for your computer in the school

Not included in the program fee are:

  • public transport fees, e.g. week-pass for Berlin (“7-Tage-Karte VBB-Umweltkarte”: EUROS 27,20), or the train trip (Deutsche Bahn) from Bamberg to Berlin (approximately EUROS 84,- one-way)
  • all admission fees e.g. for museums and events
  • food and beverages
 

Registration / Enrolment

Your enrolment is binding with the deposit payment of € 150. The entire fees are required to be payed at least 10 days or less prior to the course starts. Please use our secure online enrolment formsecure online enrolment form. If you enroll 10 days or less prior to the course you will be required to pay the entire fees for 2 weeks. The deposit of € 150 will be deducted from the total costs once you have received the invoice in Bamberg.
