Language Program
in Bamberg
Type of course and services
- German course 20 lessons per week from Monday to Friday from 9 till 12:30
- Single room accommodation at home with German families, couples, students or singles or in a three star hotel in the city center (6 nights for 1 week, 13 nights for 2 weeks, 20 nights for 3 weeks)
- Recreational activities: visits, city tours, sport
Typical weekly culture and activities program
- Monday: city walk - initial orientation in town followed by a group lunch in a nice restaurant with the director or the teachers.
- Tuesday:
movie time in the afternoon
- Wednesday: Guided city tour in Bamberg with a focus on different topics such as "The Baroque Age in Bamberg", "The mill quarter", "Henry II", "The St Michael Monastery ", "The Cathedral and Residence", "Patrician families in Bamberg", "Witch burning in Bamberg"...
- Thursday:
TREFF PUNKT-Stammtisch - an informal get together of students, friends and teachers in a pub or the beergarden in the summer.
- Friday: Farewell ceremony and presentation of certificates
- 1 week stay
Saturday: Transfer Bamberg -
Berlin (e.g. train ICE depart: 10:16, arrive 14:07) or finish the course.
- 2 week stay or longer

Services & Conditions
The fees as above include:
- 20 German lessons of 45 minutes per week
- single room in a private accommodation without breakfast
or hotel with breakfast
- all recreational activities as listed above from
Monday to Friday . Other activities on offer while
at the school have to be paid extra as well as the
week-end excursions. Please also note that food and
drinks are not included for free in any of the activities.
- You
pay a deposit of 150 EUR when you enrol and you should
ensure that the fee for the first 2 weeks of the
course is transferred before the course start date. The
deposit of 150 EUR can be subtracted from this amount
if it has been previously paid. Any
additional weeks can either also be paid in advance
or on your first day at the school.
- Please note: Travelling
with the German Rail / Deutsche Bahn from Berlin
to Bamberg is NOT* included in the fees. The train
ticket for the fast train ICE is about € 75.
You will not have to change trains. The trip lasts
in general between 3, 5 and 4 hours.
- The enrolment on your German course
is made online and at least 10 days before the course
