We want your stay with TREFF PUNKT
and in Bamberg to be a great experience and a learning success. As part
of this, we offer leisure time activities at least 3 times per week.

| Besides these activities being lots of fun for everyone, they are also an excellent opportunity to practise of the German
language in many different situations. This is an important part of your
learning experience.
During these activities you will meet the participants from other courses and many of our local friends in Bamberg. Please read on to find out about some of our leisure activities, which
we offer regularly.

| TREFF PUNKT-Stammtisch: Weekly, cheery gatherings in in the company of locals in one of Bamberg's beautiful beer gardens or pubs. Time: Every Thursday from about 8:45 pm,

| Getting
to know Bamberg with TREFF PUNKT This includes walks through the town, during which you learn interesting aspects about the citys 1000-year-history. After the walks, we often visit one of Bambergs 9 private breweries in order to try the beer specialities of our region, e.g. Rauchbier ("smoked beer"). >>> here are some further pictures

| Sports On Wednesdays in the summer we play volleyball, football, badminton or Frisbee. Other alternatives? Golf, tennis, gym visits, squash, canoeing, paragliding, cycling, hiking, aerobics, jazz dance and many more... >>> here are some further pictures

| Weekend excursions We organize group trips, like for example to Berlin, Würzburg, Munich, Weimar or Regensburg - Walhalla - Weltenburg. Many of our students like to organize their own trips over the weekends. Places easily reached by train and thoroughly recommended are Frankfurt or Leipzig. Also very popular are Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Heidelberg, Neuschwanstein, and Prague*. * If you are planning to go to Prague, remember to bring your passport! >>> some impressions of our excursion to Berlin

| Theatres and concerts In Bambergs new concert hall you can enjoy the classical concerts by the world-famous orchestra Bamberger Symphoniker, and visit jazz and rock concerts. There are also many bars and clubs where small live-concerts or theatre productions are offered. The main theatre is Stadttheater E.T.A. Hoffmann, but there are also a number of small, private theatres, which offer a broad range of plays and comedies. For up-to-date events, please refer to www.veranstaltungskalender-bamberg.de.
